Head Coach & Program Director
Coach Mubasheer has over 15 years of playing experience across the highest levels of youth and adult soccer in Washington State. He began with the Muslim Youth Soccer Club at MAPS Redmond, and progressed through top-tier teams including Crossfire Select, Lake Washington Premier A, and Crossfire Premier ECNL. He also played at the semi-pro level with in the Cascadia Premier League (CPL) with Bellevue Athletic, Strangers United and Sammamish FC. Mubasheer was recruited to play college soccer - receiving multiple Division III and Division II offers and even interest from a Division I program—but ultimately chose the academic path at the University of Washington. Along the way, he overcame two ACL injuries and fully recovered, gaining deep expertise in injury prevention, strength training, and athlete recovery. Beyond the pitch, Mubasheer is a committed mentor and Islamic studies student. He studies Quran under Shaykh Nabil, holds three Ijazahs in Hafs, Shu’bah, and Qalun, and served as Vice President of the Muslim Students Association at UW. He brings both competitive skill and Islamic character to Suhbāh Soccer Camp, helping boys grow as athletes and brothers in faith.

Salam, my name is Yassine. I’m a lifelong soccer player who grew up in this community, back when MAPS was just a small leased room. I started from the lowest levels of Rec soccer and worked my way up to Premier, eventually reaching the top tiers of youth competition. I’m currently pursuing a semi-pro career in the UPSL. I’m now offering one-on-one coaching sessions for players of all levels. I’m passionate about meeting each player exactly where they’re at and helping them grow into the player they dream of becoming. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to sharpen advanced skills, I focus on developing their game in a fun, focused, and highly personalized way. I bring years of experience working with kids, both on and off the field. from tutoring in math and computer science to teaching hands-on science at the Pacific Science Center, I specialize in turning chaos into curiosity and helping kids channel their energy into something meaningful.
